The Institut Collectif de l'IA (ICIA) is a French non-profit association created to make this transformation more understandable, more accessible and more manageable for everyone. We develop programs, resources, training courses and public interest initiatives focused on AI, skills and uses.

Who we are

The Institut Collectif de l'IA (ICIA) is a French non-profit association dedicated to the collective challenges of artificial intelligence.

Our conviction is simple: the AI transition will be neither purely technical nor purely economic. It is also cultural, educational, social and democratic.

That is why we develop initiatives enabling individuals and organizations to understand the ongoing transformations and take part in them.

An association model supported by specialized operators

The Institut Collectif de l'IA (ICIA) is an independent non-profit association.

The association defines its mission, orientations, priorities and public interest programs around artificial intelligence, skills and societal transformations.

For certain initiatives, ICIA relies on specialized partners capable of ensuring the design, engineering and operational deployment of programs.

Mentivis serves as the Institute's educational operator and engineering partner.

Its teams contribute notably to: educational engineering, program design, skills development initiatives, organizational and territorial support, digital educational tools and infrastructure.

This structure clearly distinguishes the public interest mission carried by ICIA and the operational capabilities mobilized for its implementation.

Territorial anchoring

The Institut Collectif de l'IA is based in Marseille, in the same location as Mariusia.

This choice reflects a simple conviction: AI-driven transformations do not only happen in major tech hubs. They are also built in territories, learning spaces, collective initiatives, educational ecosystems and hybrid projects.
